Unions Discuss Draft Croke Park II Response
Representatives of public sector workers unions are to meet to discuss a draft joint letter in response to the Croke Park II proposals, which they are opposed to.
The INMO, CPSU, IMO and UNITE, amongst others, are discussing the possibility of writing to the the Public Services Committee.
Speaking on RTÉ’s Morning Ireland, UNITE regional secretary, Jimmy Kelly said consultations had taken place with members across the country and rejected a suggestion that a draft letter would amount to posturing.

Nursing And Midwifery Students To Benefit From Bursary Increase
Means-tested elements of bursary support for nursing and midwifery students are to be increased by 15% for the 2022/23 academic year, Health Minister Robin Swann has announced. The increase will be applied to the dependants allowance for spouse or first child; the allowance for subsequent children; and parents learning allowance.

Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Michael Creed, has hosted his first meeting of the new Dairy Forum, alongside key stakeholders of the Irish dairy sector. The forum met to discuss ongoing challenges in the sector with an emphasis on current market developments and the response currently under consideration at EU level.

GRA Meet To Discuss Possible Response To Proposed Cuts
Members of the Garda Representative Association (GRA) have met to discuss their response should cuts proposed in talks on an extension to the Croke Park deal go ahead. All forms of industrial action, up to and including full withdrawal of labour, should be on the table if the cuts go ahead was voted for by GRA members in the Cork North.
