Furniture Store Closes 20 Stores Across Ireland
Furniture store, Cost Plus Sofa, have closed all 20 of its stores across Ireland, leaving some 100 staff without work.
The retail chain had previously said it was hoping to restructure its business but has blamed the economic downturn and a fall in sales for the closures.
Customers, who had shopped online, found a public notice saying that all outstanding orders, contracts and agreements would be honoured, completed and delivered as agreed.

Twenty new jobs are to be created following the announcement that Donnybrook Fair are to open a new store at gallery Quay, Grand Canal Square. The fine food store currently employs more than 270 people across its stores on Morehampton Road, Donnybrook, Baggot Street, Stillorgan and Greystones.

Dealz Creates 80 New Jobs
Dealz has announced it is to create 80 new jobs in Ireland. The roles will be creates across three new stores. The discount retailer opened its two newest premises today in Mallow and Navan, and has said another store will open in Athy, Co Kildare, next week. The company employs just under 1,000 people in Ireland.
