LRC To Host Transport Privatisation Talks
The Labour Relations Commission (LRC) is to host the latest round of talks on the proposed privatisation of 10% of Dublin Bus and Bus Éireann.
The National Transport Authority (NTA) said that it intends to push forward with the tender process next month. However, unions at the two State transport companies oppose the move.
The unions, the NTA and the two firms will resume talks later today at the LRC.
The unions are concerned that the privatisation plan will lead to redundancies and a reduction in pay and conditions.
