Govt Treatment Of Moore Street Families 'Disgraceful' - SF

Sinn Féin has described the government's treatment of the historic Moore Street site as "disgraceful".

Party leader Gerry Adams made the comment following the a court decision to hold a full hearing on the Moore Street families' action against the government's plans for Moore St.

Mr Adams said: "It is scandalous that in this centenary year of the Rising that the families of the Leaders have been forced to take the government to court to protect the National Monument.

"Moore Street has been described as the most important historic site in modern Irish history. Nowhere else in the world would a government treat such an iconic site so disgracefully."
