Uisce Éireann crews have successfully finished repair works at the Goatenbridge Water Treatment Plant after operational difficulties caused disruption earlier today. While the water supply is currently being restored to affected areas, consumers are being requested to conserve water. Reservoir levels are still critically low, meaning some households and businesses might experience reduced water pressure while the system recharges.

To support the community, alternative water supplies continue to be available at Ardfinnan Village, Newchapel Cross, Marlfield Village, Newcastle National School, and Grange National School. Members of the public utilizing these tankers must bring their own clean containers and are advised to boil the water before use as a safety precaution.

Furthermore, Uisce Éireann has reminded consumers that the separate, pre-existing boil water notice for everyone served by the Ardfinnan Regional Supply remains active. Those affected must continue to boil their water until further notice, and the utility confirms that the water remains perfectly safe to drink once it has been boiled.
