Do Not Swim Notice Issued For Claremont Beach
A 'Do Not Swim' notice has been issued after a sample taken on 15 June 2026 showed an elevated bacterial count. An investigation and resampling are under way, and the EPA and HSE have been notified.
Beach users are asked to respect the 'Do Not Swim' notice, which is in place to ensure the health of bathers is not compromised.

Boil Water Notice Issued For Dunmore-Glenamaddy And Glenamaddy Supplies
Uisce Éireann has introduced a Boil Water Notice for customers served by the Dunmore-Glenamaddy Public Water Supply and the Glenamaddy Public Water Supply to safeguard public health. A Boil Water Notice has been introduced for Pomeroy Park in Rathangan, covering house numbers 1–72 inclusive, following the detection of increased bacteria levels in the local supply. The precautionary measure, agreed with the Health Service Executive (HSE), was announced on 31 August 2026 and will remain in place until lifted.

Boil Water Notice Re-Issued For Those Supplied By Leixlip Water Treatment Plant
A Boil Water notice has been re-issued for households and businesses supplied by the Leixlip Water Treatment Plant. Irish Water, in consultation with the HSE and Fingal County Council, have issued the new notice "as a precaution" to protect the health of customers.

A boil water notice has been issued to households and businesses in Co Limerick due to water pumping stations being affected by ongoing power outages. Limerick County Council said that is was "not in a position to guarantee that water supplies throughout the county are treated to the standards required by the drinking water regulations.
